Who are we?

We're a community of high-school students who love sharing our passion for STEM with the world. We host weekly meetings at local libraries in Halifax where we work together to learn new skills, problem solve and have a good time with like-minded individuals.

If you are looking for STEM-related extracurriculars that can help you gain an upper hand when it comes to university or beyond, say less! Here, you'll be exposed to a variety of activities and lessons to immerse yourself in the amazing world of learning.

Get Involved

Every month, we try to have a community volunteering event where our members can get involved and give back to the community. This month at the end of April, we will be having a bake sale fundraiser with STEM cookies and coding for a cause.

We are hosting a one time event at Halifax Central Library on Sunday, May 25th for kids and youth aged 9-13 to experience STEM through problem solving challenges and Hour of Code! Let's experience Science, Technology, Engineering & Math in fun, collaborative challenges inspired by Hour of Code and CEMC! ☻ Learn more and register below.

Solve

Problem solving, math contests, and more.

If you are an academically-inclined student in high school planning on pursuing post-secondary and a considering a career related to Math, Computer Science or Engineering, you may benefit from participating in Waterloo's annual Math Contests and Computing Competitions. These contests are held nation-wide every year and are written with your school. They are meant for anyone, and we strongly encourage you to participate!

Not only are these contests fun to practice with others, they are an excellent way to enhance your problem solving and logical thinking skills, allowing you to apply your knowledge in math you've accumulated throughout the years in ways you haven't before.

Learn

It's all about the community, and the people around you.

Our purpose is to bring together young people in the community with similar interests in STEM related endeavours, allowing them to build their skills and showcase their work with the community.

In addition, all is welcome in our club; no prior experience in coding, programming or math contests is necessary! Our focus is to create a fun, collaborative study environment where like-minded students can share their ideas and learn from each other - no matter your skill level.

Volunteer
